6 VIP Library Privileges
Your student ID will give you VIP privileges in the library. You may cut in line. Check out 2 extra books. First to go on the Internet

9 Items not allowed in the library
No Food No Drinks No Gum No Candy

10 Help keep the library neat and clean!
Push in books that fall. Put books on clean-up cart. Take your stuff with you. Dispose of trash.

11 Checkout Policy You can check out 4 books and 10 eBooks. If you visit the library before or after school you can check out more. Three week checkout period. Two week grace period. Late fees 10 cents per day with a $2.00 maximum per book. If you have overdue books from our library or another school library you may only check out one paperback book.

12 Take care of materials. Lose it, pay for it.
Drop it in a puddle, pay for it. Dog eat it, pay for it. Don’t eat while reading at home. Damaged books will be assessed a damage fee.

13 Library Visits You need a pass to visit the library during class.
Sign in binder. Library is open before and after school. No checkouts between classes.

14 Computers Online catalog to look for books.
Must sign-in before going on the computer. Uses: Word processing, Edmodo, Reading Plus, PowerPoint etc. Computers are to be used for educational purposes. NO VIDEOGAMES!!!

15 Review Questions What is your librarian’s name?
How long has she been working in libraries? What does she like to do on the weekends? What kind of pet does she have and what is it’s name? What are the library hours? What are the extended library hours and days? What are VIP library privileges? What is on-task behavior in the library? List four items not allowed in the library. How can you keep the library clean? How many print books can you check out? How many eBooks can you check out? How long can you keep a book? What are the late fees? What happens if you damage or loose a book? What do you need to visit the library during school hours? What are you allowed to do on the library computers?

16 What is the most important rule?
Take care of library books. Return library books on time. Keep the library neat and clean. Behave properly in the library.

17 Supplies Project Supplies that can be borrowed while in the library media center: Crayons Markers Foam Shapes Lined Paper Scissors Glue Pencils are for sale for .25 cents.
