3 3 The path forward is clear Advocate strategic, multi-modal transportation planning and investment that expands the region’s capacity for global commerce. Promote collaboration that positions the region internationally as an affordable, safe and efficient transportation hub.

4 4 Transportation of goods and services is 11 percent of the U.S. economy and supports one in eight jobs. Transportation costs account for 62% of all logistics costs, 6% of gross revenue. Between 1994-2003 bilateral trade between Canada and Mexico more than doubled from $6.5 billion to $15.1 billion. The Port of Lewiston: lowest cost transportation from the Inland Northwest to the Port of Portland. “ Bridging the Valley”, Enhance development opportunities with a single rail corridor served by the region’s largest railroads. Thousands of miles of fiber through Noanet, Columbia fiber, INHS, and others. Soon to be linked to Gigapop.

Geiger Spur Project : Will connect with the Palouse River and Coulee City Railroad (PCC) near Medical Lake I-90 Improvements for East-West Connections Eastport, Idaho: is the one of two 24-hour, homeland security ports of entry between Oroville, Washington and Eureka, Montana.
