5 SUPPLEMENTARY NUTRITION PROGRAMME
Supply of Diet items by Self Help Groups from 1990. Uninterrupted supply of diet items. Non occurrence of non-feeding days. 7 EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE & EDUCATION
After Formulation of National Policy and Curriculum Framework for ECCE, this Union Territory of Puducherry has also prepared State’s own policy and Curriculum and syllabus for ECCE in 2 stages age group below 3 years age group of 3+ years Draft Policy and Draft Curriculum and syllabus for ECCE was prepared by Government of Puducherry based on the National Frame Work and also catering to the State specific needs. The above draft documents have been submitted to Government of India seeking approval

8 EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE & EDUCATION (Contd.)
Pilot testing of ECCE in 50 Anganwadi centres Toy corner – Local people drop used toys & other materials in the Toy Corner. Anganwadi Workers prepare innovative teaching aids for ECCE. Story telling by Old Age Women Involvement of Adolescent Girls Exhibition and Contribution of training aids prepared by Adolescent girls / boys.

9 NUTRITION & HEALTH EDUCATION
Annaprassana is done to 6 month old children on the occasions of monthly NHED sessions, beast feeding week, nutrition week. Wide propoganda about the epidemic diseases with NRHM staff Exhibition & competition highlighting utilization of millets & its nutritive value Monthly awareness camp on Nutrition and Health Education to Adolescent Boys & Girls Song and drama team comprising of Anganwadi Workers & Helpers has been organising programmes for creating awareness on Nutrition and Health Education

10 CONVERGENCE In Convergence with KVK anganwadi workers and helpers are trained in preparation of jams and pickles. Awareness camps in coordination with FNB Coordination of PWD, DRDA, Electricity in construction of Anganwadi Centres, provision of water facilities & Electricity.

11 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

12 Donation of free site for the Construction of Anganwadi Buildings
Temple Trust, Anandapuram donated 1160 Sq.ft. of land as gift deed for the construction of Anganwadi centre in Anandapuram village in the year 2006

13 Donation of free site for the Construction of Anganwadi Buildings
Tmt. Kokilambal (Resident of Vadamangalam, Puducherry) donated 576 Sq.ft. of land for construction of Anganwadi building at vadamangalam in the year 2004.

14 Voluntary involvement in construction of Anganwadi Buildings
M/s Hindustan Lever Limited, Puducherry constructed Anganwadi building in Vadamangalam Village at a cost of Rs lakhs in the year 2005. N. Selvarajoulou Chetty Trust financed for construction of one model Anganwadi building with all facilities at Agaram Village at an estimate of Rs lakhs.

15 Voluntary involvement in maintenance of Anganwadi Buildings
M/s Berger Paints Limited contributed white washing the Pandasozhanallur III Anganwadi Centre in the year The company has also contributed its sponsorship by painting yellow to the Pandasozhanallurpet Anganwadi Centre in the year 2004.

16 Community participation in the contribution of necessity things to the Anganwadi centres.
The community has contributed chair, play materials, clock to the anganwadi centres at Rainbow Nagar in the inaugural function of the Anganwadi centre Building In Eye Doctor Bungalow, Pudunagar II, Project IV the local MLA Thiru. Siva had contributed gas stove, personal weighing machine to the Anganwadi Centres.

Aquaguard & Plastic chair for pre school children were contributed by the Lions Club to the Govindalasai I, II, III, Bharathipuram, Goubert Nagar II, Pudhunagar II, III, Eye Doctor Bungalow on

18 Community participation in the contribution of necessity things to the Anganwadi centres.
Utensils such as SS Drum, SS Water can, plates, pressure cooker, oil can, basin, dubba, jug, etc., baby chairs, educational charts, weighing scale, wall clock, ceiling fan, table, stove have been donated to more than 100 anganwadi centres by the public, Rotary Club, Lions club since 1999.
