3.   The Musical Theater curriculum is designed to be completed in 2 years and to cultivate and nurture the artistry of highly motivated students who wish to develop their combined talent as singers, actors, and dancers. Students who major in the degree, may elect to find a second major on campus, and are expected to integrate fully their rigorous training as musical theater artists with the outstanding liberal arts education they receive at the University of Washington.   Study begins with core studio classes in acting, singing and dancing, ear training, musical theater history and stagecraft, and culminates with a capstone course that helps prepare students for entry into the Musical Theater profession.
