1 1 Spring 2010 SELLING DESKTOPS TO SMALL BUSINESSES

2 2 Now’s the time to help small business customers make a smart investment This presentation will help you understand... – Why customers should refresh their desktop PCs – The key benefits of all new 2010 Intel ® Core™ processors – How all new Intel ® Core™ vPro processors deliver smart security and easy PC care – How you can overcome common buyer objections

3 There are still concerns about the economy, but small businesses are considering a refresh of their computing environment Replacing older equipment can help: Increase user productivity Reduce operating and support costs Enhance network security 123

4 Refreshing desktops can reduce operating and support costs Older machines are slower, break down more often and they cost more to maintain and power. - Repair and maintenance can run up to 1.65x more on a PC older than 3 years 1 - PCs older than 3 years are 4.5x more likely to experience a hard drive failure 1 1

5 Small businesses are efficient and responsive - the newest and fastest PCs can help them stay competitive 75% of small businesses cite improved business process efficiency as a benefit of using PCs in business. 1 New PCs built for multitasking can help increase user productivity 2

6 New computers have enhanced security features – vital for small businesses that need to protect against new threats. PCs older than 3 years can experience up to 1.3x more security incidents 1 Refreshing can enhance network security 3

7 You know refreshing is important. Now help your customers pick the right computer. The best choice for small businesses. Faster, smarter, adaptive - that's intelligent performance. INTRODUCING THE ALL NEW INTEL® CORE™ PROCESSOR FAMILY

8 The all new 2010 Intel® Core™ processor family provides intelligent performance and efficiency Quiz: What are the key performance benefits of the all new 2010 Intel® Core™ i5 processor? - Run business productivity applications 2x faster 2 -Up to 30% more energy efficient vs. a 3 year old desktop PC 2 - Intel ® Turbo Boost Technology speeds up the processor when workloads require extra performance. 3 - Intel ® Hyper-Threading Technology allows each processor core to work on two tasks at once. 4

9 How to Explain It: Think of Intel® Turbo Boost Technology like the air conditioner in a car. In normal mode, the air conditioner delivers a certain amount of air through the dash and floor vents. When you shut off the floor vents, it can use the extra power to deliver more air through the dash. In the same way, the Intel® Core™ i7 processor is configured to deliver a certain amount of power to each core. However, if one or more cores is not using that power, the processor can automatically and intelligently divert extra power to the operating core. The result is the operating core can run at a higher than normal frequency and complete its tasks faster. Like toasting two pieces of bread in a two- slot toaster instead of using a single-slot toaster twice, you can get more done in the same amount of time. Available On + :
