8  Provision of employment programing and delivery of social assistance across the district of Algoma  Implementation of the Consolidated Homelessness Prevention Initiative (January 2013)  Delivery of Addictions and Mental Health program initiative for recipients of social assistance  Provision of human resource support, training & wage subsidies to employers (CP, EEP & JFY) Ontario Works & Homelessness

9  Individual assistance to singles and families who are in current need of financial assistance  Engagement of eligible recipients in employment planning, financial supports to assist them in their plans for training, education and employment  Employment driven planning at a community, regional and provincial level Income Maintenance & Employment Funding

10  Community Placements – Unpaid work placements for up to 70 hours per month  Eligibility for Non-profit and Public Service Sector to hire recipients WSIB Coverage, Local Human Resource Supports to assist with referral, matching and sustainability  Cannot replace Paid Employment  NO cost to the employer! Community Placements

11  Training Subsidy for employers of up to $5.00 per hour to hire recipients of Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Program recipients  Other Additional Training Supports related to the employee ie. Courses necessary for the employment  WSIB Coverage  Human Resources Support ie. Matching, referral and ongoing sustainability support Enhanced Employment Placement Program

12  100% of wages covered to hire a vulnerable or at risk youth for the summer months  WSIB coverage  Human Resource Support ie. Matching, referral and ongoing support Jobs for Youth

13  Focus on the prevention of Homelessness  Assistance to local food banks, shelters, homelessness prevention programs  Energy and Rental arrears for low income, Ontario Works and ODSP recipients  Assistance with oil tank replacement for low income, Ontario Works and ODSP recipients  Small home repairs for low income, Ontario Works and ODSP receipients Consolidated Homelessness Prevention Initiative
