3. Bringing IAWP to Atlantic Canada  May 2007 Atlantic Women in Law Enforcement initiated a partnership with RCMP “B” Division & the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary to bring an international training venue to our doorstep.

4.  July 2007 former AWLE President MacNaughton, RNC Chief Browne and RCMP A/Comm. Gerry Lynch agreed to co-host the IAWP conference.  $30,000 seed money, co-directors and committee members from each police agency.  AWLE to contribute $5,000 and executive and in- kind support.

5.  April 2008 the AWLE and Conference Co- Directors hosted the IAWP Board of Directors Board Meeting in St. John’s.  September 2008 the 2012 Newfoundland Conference Bid Committee made a successful presentation at the IAWP AGM in Australia.
