Types Of Plastics? Material Percent 1.)Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) 20-30% 2.)High Density Polyethylene 50-60% 3.)Vinyl/Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) 5-10% 4.)Low Density Polyethylene 5-10% 5.)Polypropylene 5-10% 6.)Polystyrene 5-10% 7.)All other resins 5-10%
Recycling Plastic? Containers are made of polyethylene and polyethylene terephthalate, which is called PET. PET has become one of the most well known recycling plastics throughout the world PET is well known through recycling plastics into bottles.
Plastics History? The first human-made plastic was invented by Alexander Parkes in 1862; he called this plastic Pakesine. The development of plastics has come from the use of natural plastic materials.
What material is Plastic? Natural rubber is an elastmor that was originally derived from a milky colloidal suspension, or latex, found in the sap of some plants. It is useful directly in this form but, later, in 1839, Charles Goodyear invented vulcanized rubber; this a form of natural rubber heated with, mostly, sulfur forming cross-links between polymer chains, improving elasticity and durability.
What can be made from plastics? Polypopylene (PP) Polystyrene(PS) High impact polystyrene (HIPS) Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene Polyethylene terephthalate PET Polyester (PES) Fibers textiles Polyamides (Nylons) Fibers Poly(vinyl chloride) Polyurethanes Polycarbonate(PC) Compact discs, eyeglasses, Polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) Polyethylene(PE)
