1. SYLLABUS COMPLEMENTARY AND ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE  This course will serve as an introduction to complementary and alternative medicine. 2. COURSE OBJECTIVES  To understand the basics of CAM (complementary and alternative medicine)  To understand what aromatherapy and essential oils are and why people are using them  To understand the different ways that essential oils are used

3. COURSE OUTLINE  Week 1  What is CAM?  Explain the difference between complementary and alternative medicines.  Introduce Essential Oils  Have a Q & A session discussing personal experiences that anyone has had – both good and bad.

4. ESSENTIAL OIL  Week 2  Why essential oils are used and why they have become so popular.  The many different options that essential oils are used for.  Who can use essential oils safely.  Q & A session along with an opportunity to smell a few different essential oils and what those oils can be used for.

5. ESSENTIAL OILS CONTINUED  Week 3  How essential oils can replace toxic chemical cleansers  Essential oils can be used for illnesses and anxiety.  Make one essential oil mix for a cleanser and one for anxiety.  Give out information about essential oils (different reputable companies that sell them), social media groups that can answer questions and/or give ideas.  Last chance for Questions!
