1 Makeup Safety By Kristina Cannon

2 Introduction Makeup Safety is important and is an essential element in the theatre. It lights up the actor’s faces. Makeup can also cause serious problems such as irritations. We can't have that or else the show cannot go on. When using makeup you should use mineral makeup because regular makeup keeps your skin dry and clogs your pores. I don't think the actor's will be happy with their face if that happens.

3 Steps for Applying makeup  Make sure that you wash your hands before you start applying makeup to actors.  Before you start ask the actor if they are allergic to any kinds of makeup. (If they are make sure you don't use what there allergic to.)  Some actors may be wearing contacts and need to take them out in order for you to apply makeup be sure to ask them about it.  Apply makeup carefully.  When you are finished make sure you clean up your mess and your area.

4 Practice As you do makeup in the theatre you have practice. Practice makes perfect and when you practice you will become better so the actor's faces will look beautiful. If the actor's face's are beautiful the actors will feel more confident for the play. The audience will also notice how good your makeup skills are. You can do anything you want to, keep up the good work on applying makeup and maybe someday you will be a famous makeup artist.
