Team up with 2-3 Students and Share a Textbook Page through the entire short textbook and note important sections on a sheet of paper Note each section has a goal, samples for you to see, and a checklist at the end to confirm you found the important points. Chapter 1 (example) Goal: Understand what practices make up an e-mail policy. 3 Keys listed 10 Practices A sample email policy (explained) Comments on Disclaimer Statements Does Somerset District have any disclaimers? What is it? Considering the above, write up thoughts on our classroom email policy – and yes, we have an assignment that requires several exchanges. Write a concise policy together on your paper and turn it in (include all your names on the sheet)

Activities: Page 86-109 Look through the activities and pick 8 of the 19 that would be most beneficial to your learning as an individual, note these on a piece of paper. ASSIGNMENT: With your small group to create a venn diagram showing which activities everyone chose vs activities chose individually. Refer to the activities by number

Email Project Assessment Over the next several weeks, you will correspond with your teachers or a working adult using email (at least 3 exchanges needed) – you may already do this – but this assignment will require you to follow our class policies ensure the emails generate a response forward the dialog to Ms. H by the due date

Assessment details: Forward each email to MsH with a summary of: How you focused your message (refer to p. 19) How the email was organized (refer to p. 25) What type of voice you chose (refer to p. 33) Describe how you deliberately chose Words (refer to p. 41), for example, were any of your words from p. 45- 46? Tell me about your transitions or list several examples you used (refer to p. 52) Lastly, tell me if the exchange resulted in a response that also followed the guidelines we learned (assuming the exchange was not with a classmate or me)
