8 Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) In the 2 weeks before the survey, 5% of children under age 5 were ill with cough and rapid breathing, symptoms of ARI. – 75 percent of these children received advice or treatment from a health facility or provider. – 79 percent were given antibiotics. 2007 JPFHS- DoS and Macro International, Inc.
