4 Language Partnership Grants (LPG) Grants to support primary & secondary schools to establish partnerships within their communities or with other schools. Grants available in the following areas: –To address disadvantage –To support school / family / community engagement –To support extension education –To support innovation Grants are designed to help schools address key issues associated with the provision of quality language programs. $1000 First Steps Grant $4000 Seeding Grant $8000 Significant Change / Whole School Approach Grant Applications close Friday 27 th March 9am (last day Term 2)

7 $1000 First Steps Grant Criteria & Application Form Grants of up to $1000 will be offered in 2015 to improve student's language learning experience Brief description of your potential project detailing clearly defined aims and objectives, possible partnerships, timelines, a budget and how this change will benefit student’s language learning

8 $4000 Seeding Grant Criteria Grants of up to $4000 will be offered in 2015 to improve the Language Education program access and quality. Those with a desire to work differently and improve the learning experience for all students should apply for this grant. Encouraged to work across learning areas to enable students to make links across their learning. The Principal and Language teacher agree to: –a discussion with CECV staff about the application prior to grant approval. –report back to the Multilingual Languages Learning Communities (MLLC) in their diocese on their grant initiative. –submit a brief report written by the Principal by end of 2015 on the impact of the project from a whole school perspective.

9 $4000 Seeding Grant Application Form Brief description of your potential project detailing clearly: –defined aims and objectives –possible partnerships –how this initiative will positively impact on the student’s language learning experience. Grant Application Budget: –Justification of expenditure must accompany your budget. –May include CRT to allow for teacher collaboration and planning time. –Should relate to intended project outcomes. Project Timeline: –Have a view to build capacity and sustainability beyond the grant funding period –Short-term and long-term goals (beyond 2015) should be considered.

10 $8000 Significant Change Grant Criteria Grants of up to $8000 will be offered in 2015 to significantly improve the Language Education program access and quality. Applicants should be dedicated to implementing a highly creative and innovative approach to Languages education. Enable students to achieve excellence in Languages Encouraged to work across learning areas to enable students to make links across their learning. Must be a new initiative and clusters of schools are encouraged to work together. In applying for a Significant Change Grant, the Principal and Language teacher at the school agree to: –Discussion with CECV Languages staff about the application prior to grant approval –Regular monitoring of the project by CECV Languages Coach –Document the project, prepare a presentation whereby the Principal, supported by the Language teacher, demonstrate to the wider learning community the impact of this project from a whole school perspective. –Report back to the Multilingual Languages Learning Communities (MLLCs) in their diocese on their grant initiative by the end of 2015.
