2 English PreAP or Regular Reading Advanced Contemporary Literacy (ACL) or Regular Reading *Pre AP English is taken with ACL and Regular English is taken with Regular Reading Math PreAP or Regular Science Social Studies P.E. / Health A.I.M.** Elective

3 Fine Arts Requirement The state of Texas requires middle school students to have one semester of a fine art. NEISD requires middle school students to have two semesters or one full year of fine arts. Band, choir, orchestra, art, or theater arts will meet this requirement.

4 Physical Education All 6 th graders are required to take 1 semester of P.E. and 1 semester of health. 4 semesters of P.E. are required in middle school. 1 semester must be taken each year with the 4th semester flexible over the 3 years of middle school. P.E. uniforms are required; maroon gym shorts and a Bush T-shirt.

10 Morning Coaching 7:45 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. Get help on assignments Make up work when absent Test and quiz retakes Hint: Do as much homework as possible at home and come to morning coaching with specific questions.

13 In May 2015, Canyon Ridge Elementary, Stone Oak Elementary, Las Lomas Elementary and Tuscany Heights Elementary future Bush Bulldog students will have the opportunity to come to Bush Middle School for their 5 th grade visit. The students will tour the school and visit the elective and academic classrooms. The students will also have an opportunity to eat lunch at Bush Middle School! 5th Grade Visit

14 PUP CAMP Incoming 6 th grade students will: Meet the sixth grade teachers Receive an orientation of Bush – School Tours – Lockers – Cafeteria procedures – Opportunity to purchase agendas, Bush gear & PE uniforms Usually held the week before school begins
