A nitrogen containing compound found in the blood and bodily fluids as a result of Protein Metabolism HIGH B.U.N. = Kidney Failure LOW B.U.N. = Liver Disease

Creatine is naturally produced in the human body from amino acids primarily in the kidney and liver. It is transported in the blood for use by muscles. It is usually converted to Creatine Phosphate in the muscles and is used to drive the initial onset of the ATP cycle. When Creatine Phosphate is broken down it is converted into a nitrogenous waste molecule called Creatinine and released back into the blood. Healthy Kidneys should filter this toxic waste out in the urine High Creatinine = Poor Kidney Function Levels are typically higher in Males ???

Fasting blood sugar level tests are used to diagnose diabetes. Blood work is collected first thing in the morning after 8 hours of fasting Fasting, as the name suggests, means refraining from eating of drinking any liquids other than water for eight hours. It is used as a test for diabetes. After fasting, a carbohydrate metabolism test is conducted which measures blood glucose levels. If Values are high, patient was unable to lower blood glucose levels by storing it between meals

High Values indicate liver damage as cells lyse to release their enzymes into the blood stream Liver Damage may be due to Infection (Hepatitis), Cancer, or Drug and Alcohol abuse.

Low Hb Levels usually indicate: -iron deficiency - Vitamin B (12 and 6) deficiency. -Excessive Bleeding -Bone marrow cancer. -Hemolysis.

Normal Blood Smear Leukemia Blood Smear Usually a high WBC (Leukocytosis) count of normal WBC’s indicates a patient is fighting a Bacterial Infection

Blood Sodium Too High = HYPERNATREMIA Blood Sodium Level Too Low = HYPONATREMIA A variety of organs (Intestine/Kidney) and metabolic process play a role in regulating Blood Sodium Levels
