Topics Practical skills introduction, Cells and Particle behaviour Elements, Energy and Reproduction Forces, Biological differences and Acids and Alkalis, Electricity and Magnetism Chemical Reactions, Space Classification, Heating and cooling (start of Yr 8 Scheme) My child will be assessed through: Regular cumulative assessments. Homework tasks In class practical assessments. Year 7 assessment at the end of course HSW practical assessment in term 6 The resource my child will be using: ‘Science works Book 1’

Topics: (Students begin KS4 course. ) Biology Topics: Cells and Cell Transport; Healthy Bodies, Adaptation and Environment Chemistry Topics: History of the periodic table, Chemistry of an Island, Material Choices Physics Topics: Energy 1, Waves My child will be assessed through: Regular cumulative assessments in each subject. Homework tasks In class practical assessments. Year 9 (KS4) assessment at the end of course The resource my child will be using: ‘Collins New GCSE Science and Additional Science Revision Guides’ for AQA All students study each science subjects separately. The topics listed above are for guidance, some groups will work through material at a faster pace to prepare them for undertaking the Triple Science GCSE in year 11.
