2. Is Jesus the Son of God? Examining Messianic Prophecy Fulfilled Prophecy as Evidence In an earlier lesson, we presented evidence that the Bible is God’s word by examining fulfilled prophecies. This same kind of evidence demonstrates that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus Himself pointed men to what the Old Testament prophets had said about Him as proof of His identity (John 5:39, 46).

The apostles often pointed their listeners to the prophets to prove their claim that Jesus is the Son of God (Acts 3:18-26; 10:43; 26:22-23, 27; 28:23)
