Welcome to OUTGOING

14 I am bound both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. 15 That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome. Romans 1

16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." Romans 1

Jesus! the Name high over all, In hell or earth or sky; Angels and men before it fall, And devils fear and fly. Jesus! the Name to sinners dear, The Name to sinners giv’n; It scatters all their guilty fear, It turns their hell to Heav’n.

Jesus! the prisoner’s fetters breaks, And bruises Satan’s head; Power into strengthless souls it speaks And life into the dead. O that mankind might taste and see The riches of His grace! The arms of love that compass me Would all the world embrace.

Picture an evangelist...

Describe someone who helped you to trust in Christ?

What is an evangelist?

Are you an evangelist?

Who needs to hear the gospel? Me! What do I need to do with the gospel? Believe it! Do we need more evangelists? That depends!

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.” Matthew 23:15

Garbage in – Garbage out

Gospel in – Gospel out

“Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.” Matthew 12:34 G ospel I n G ospel O ut

Romans

14 I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, complete in knowledge and competent to instruct one another. 15 I have written to you quite boldly on some points, as if to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me… Romans 15

23 I have been longing for many years to see you, 24 I plan to do so when I go to Spain. I hope to visit you while passing through and to have you assist me on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company for a while. 25 Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem… Romans 15

26 For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem... 28 So after I have completed this task… I will go to Spain and visit you on the way. Romans 15

A model evangelist? Peter replied, "Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will...” Peter declared, "Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you." And all the other disciples said the same. Matthew 26:33,35

A model evangelist? “Lord, you know that I love you.” -- John 21 “Feed my sheep.”

1 Peter A feeble minority Gripped by God Showered with blessings Enduring suffering

Bringing people to God He did! We are! I can!

Bringing people to God He did! “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.” 1 Peter 3:18

Bringing people to God 11 If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Bringing people to God I can “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” (1 Peter 3:15)

Bringing people to God He did! We are! I can!

Why do you have to ram your Christianity down my throat?

O that my Jesu’s heavenly charms Might every bosom move! Fly, sinners, fly into those arms Of everlasting love. Thee I shall constantly proclaim, Though earth and hell oppose; Bold to confess Thy glorious Name Before a world of foes.

His only righteousness I show, His saving grace proclaim; ’Tis all my business here below To cry “Behold the Lamb!” Happy, if with my latest breath I may but gasp His Name, Preach Him to all and cry in death, “Behold, behold the Lamb!”
