Sir Walter Scott Born in Edinburg 15 Aug 1771. Died in in Melrose 21 Sept 1832 at the age 61. Scottish historical novelist and poet. Very popular during his lifetime and over the world. Many of his works remain classics of both English- language literature and of Scottish literature.
