1 COB 08 RTM Fuse Modification Required – Soldering iron capable of removing resistor without damaging board. Metcal with tweezer attachment recommended. Water soluble solder. Flux free Solder Wick. Water soluble Flux pen. 24 AWG wire. 3Amp PTC fuse. Kapton tape.

2 Instructions Remove resistor using tweezer attachment. Clean pads of solder and residue. Place piece of Kapton tape over vias where resistor will go. Solder resistor to outside set of pads. Solder fuse to large pad of resistor and large open pad. Solder 24AWG wire between small pad of resistor and small open pad. Clean.

3 Board Unmodified

4 Board With Resistor moved. Note Kapton tape over vias.

5 Board Complete. Note showing 2.5 Amp fuse instead of Rectangular 3 Amp Fuse. Also shows 24 AWG Wire for Sense connection.
