5 SOFAS – Today’s Project YOU’RE GOING TO BE CREATING A COLOURWAY FOR YOUR OWN SOFA DESIGN!

6 NEW SOFA PATTERN! 1)What is a colourway? 2)Cut out two different simple shapes (using materials for inspiration) 3)Lay out shapes and create a repeating pattern across whole page. Note maths links! 4)Select two colours you like (in pairs if you want) 5)You have TWO palettes: 1)One for tones 2)One for hues TONE: varying the colour with black / white HUE: varying the colour without black / white COLOURWAY: 1 base colour (primary or secondary) in a pattern with varying tones and hues.

7 SUCCESS CRITERIA What did you need to do today to be able to succeed? What have you learned that you didn’t know before?
