3 Cadence has four kinds of notes for us to study:  Whole Notes  Half Notes  Quarter Notes  Eighth Notes Along with these four notes, there are four matching rests. What are they? Let’s find out!

5  Each note of music has a specific length, or number of beats.  Each note has its own shape and look. Click the arrow to see each note! Whole note Half note Quarter note Eighth note Eighth notes can also be connected like this: 4 BEATS 2 BEATS 1 BEAT ½ of a BEAT
