Homophones are a type of homonym that also sound alike and have different meanings, but have different spellings. Grade : 5 th Summary : There are a numerous amount of words in our English dictionary that sound the same but are spelled differently with different meanings. To be able to tell these words apart when forming or reading a sentence is very important. Objective : The purpose of the question and answer part of this PowerPoint is to help students learn the meaning of the various words given that sound the same.
