2  Welcome and Keynote ◦ true connections to social and professional organizations ◦ creating a network with other Miami students ◦ the significance of creating depth versus breadth within their organizations and leadership experiences.  Multicultural Involvement Fair: ◦ reflect about their high school and previous leadership experiences, current major/desired major, passions, interests and etc ◦ students will discover organizations and connect with current student leaders

3  First year students that participate in the Diversity Connection will learn about the multicultural organizations and meet student leaders that are present on campus. Students will be able to name three different multicultural and international student organizations as well as make connections with upper class student leaders

4  Homogeneous student population ◦ White ◦ High socioeconomic status ◦ Legacy students ◦ Greek  The Office of New Student Programs and The Office of Student Leadership and Activities’ Mega Fair ◦ 80% organizations from dominant culture

13  Exploration 1: What type of organizations, clubs, or extracurricular activities were you apart of in high school or before college?  Exploration 2: What is your current major? What majors are you interested in? What are your career aspirations?  Exploration 3: What organizations at the Diversity Connection relate to the items listed in Exploration 1and 2?  Exploration 4: How would you like to be involved in the organizations listed in Exploration 3?
