18 Critical Economic Development “As an Organization dedicated to business development and retention in Easton, we are enthusiastic supporters of the Eastern Shore Conservation Center.” – Maureen Scott-Taylor, Easton Office of Economic Development “The Center will bring a new generation of high-skilled jobs to Easton, focusing on the important fields of conservation, economic development, and urban planning. As a historic town in the heart of the Eastern Shore, these are precisely the kinds of talents we want in our economy.” – Mayor Willey “Nonprofit organizations are an important part of our local economy, providing jobs for a wide variety of skilled workers. By joining together in one place, the nonprofit community is poised to strengthen their positive economic impact on the town of Easton. And the fact that this will all take place within a currently empty historic building only adds to the quality and the significance of the project.” – Al Silverstein, Talbot County Chamber of Commerce
