Christian-Andreas Schumann4  development of new concepts and transfer models at the interfaces of vocational and academic education  new learning paths require special adjusted methodical concepts and fitting knowledge content to support learners  digital learning methods should be used preferably, to ensure the knowledge transfer between different learning environments

5 1.Framework Conditions June 13, 2014Prof. Dr. Ing. habil. Christian-Andreas Schumann 5  Vision UNESCO GUIDELINES for the Recognition, Validation and Accreditation of the Outcomes of Non- formal and Informal Learning (2012) [UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning © UIL 2012 Printed in Germany] Key lever in making lifelong learning a reality Visibility and value to the hidden and unrecognized competences that individuals have obtained through various means and in different phases of their lives Significantly improving the individuals’ self-esteem and well- being Motivating to further learning and strengthening labor market opportunities Integration of broader sections of the population into an open and flexible education and training system.
