2 The Simple Sentence A simple sentence is a sentence that has one subject-verb pair (independent clause) I live in Gaza. Subject Verb Every sentence should have at least one subject and one verb combination

3 The Compound Sentence A compound sentence contains two sentences that are joined together by a comma and a coordinating conjunction. She works in the city, but she lives in the suburbs. Simple Sentence Simple Sentence

Teenagers find many ways to drive their parents crazy. First, they dye their hair purple, or they shave their heads bald. They also tattoo their skin and wear rings in their noses. ln addition they spend hours at the shopping mall and on the phone. They have time to watch TV but they don't have time to do their homework. Also they're always too busy to clean up1 their rooms but they're never too busy to clean out the refrigerator by eating everything in it. Finally they are old enough to drive but too young to pay for gas. They are usually broke' so they always return the family car with an empty gas tank. lt's hard to be a teenager but it's even harder to be the parent of one.
