SYSmark* 2004 SE is BAPCo's latest version of the mainstream office productivity and Internet content creation benchmark tool used to characterize the performance of the business client. SYSmark 2004 SE features user-driven workloads and usage models developed by application experts. SYSmark is a great tool for measuring how a PC performs on common business computing applications. SPEC CPU2000 measures performance on more compute-intensive applications that although they don’t constitute the majority of day-to-day office computing are still very important. Things like running , IM, and presentation software while hosting a multi-party VOIP conference call are becoming more common and SPEC CPU2000 provides a measure of PC headroom that can enable smooth operation while really putting a load on the PC.
