1 THE KINGDOM WITHIN Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brilliance of your dawn. (Isaiah 60:1-3)

2 God’s kingdom is within you.
Once the Pharisees asked Jesus when God’s kingdom would come. He replied, “The coming of God’s kingdom is not something you can see just by watching for it carefully. People will not say, ‘Here it is.’ Or, ‘There it is.’ God’s kingdom is within you. (Luke 17:20-21) - It is an invisible kingdom that is only seen through a believing heart

3 A child is born to us. A son is given to us. And he will be our ruler
A child is born to us! A son is given to us! And he will be our ruler. He will be called “Wonderful Counsellor”, “Mighty God”, “Eternal Father”, “Prince of Peace”. His royal power will continue to grow; his kingdom will always be at peace. He will rule as King David’s successor, basing his power on right and justice, from now until the end of time. The LORD Almighty is determined to do all this. (Isaiah 9:6-7)

4 The Kingdom of God is promised to His children
Don’t spend time thinking about what you will eat or drink. Don’t worry about it. People who are ungodly run after all those things. Your Father knows that you need them. But put God’s kingdom first. Then those other things will also be given to you. Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:29-32)

5 When the apostles met together with Jesus, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time give the kingdom back to Israel?” “The times and occasions are set by my Father’s own authority, and it is not for you to know when they will be [the establishment of His physical kingdom upon His return]. But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power [the kingdom within].” (Acts 1:6-8) the physical kingdom where Jesus returns to earth and rules as our King will be established in the appointed time set by the Father the kingdom within will be established the moment the Holy Spirit comes upon a disciple, and power goes with it

6 So what does the Kingdom of God Within really means.
1. It speaks of the divine nature (His Spirit) within us which empowers us to live holy and fruitful in this present world. The kingdom of God is not just fancy talk; it’s living by God’s power. (1 Cor 4:2)

7 2. It speaks of the higher kind of life here on earth
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of the righteousness, peace and joy which the Holy Spirit gives. (Romans 14:17)

8 As the Father has sent Me, I also send you. (John 20:21)
Now here is his charge to us: As the Father has sent Me, I also send you. (John 20:21) The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works (John 14:12)

9 The problem is UNBELIEF.
We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand. (Romans 5:1-2) The solution is FAITH. Without faith it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6) Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)

10 Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8) His divine power [grace] has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness… by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature. (2 Peter 1:3-4)

11 Conclusion: Arise, Shine, for God is ready and poised to shine His glory upon us We have the kingdom within because the Holy Spirit indwells us This should cause us to live a godly life, a life that is pleasing to God, a life transformed from glory to glory Soak ourselves with His great and precious promises, the word of His grace So now brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. (2 Peter 20:22)
