When were Orca’s discovered? Orca’s were discovered in 1558 in Bay of Greifswald. Konrad Gessner wrote the first scientific description of a Killer Whale in “Fish Book”. The book was based on an examination of a dead stranded animal in the Bay of Greifswald. Killer Whales originated from all the oceans there is not a specific place. Killer Whales are part of the dolphin family which was first appeared 11 million years ago.

Killer Whale and Plants Killer whales are carnivores which means they do not eat plants. Killer Whales eat sea lions ( seals), fish, squid, small marine animals, seabirds, and sometimes other whales. Using a food chain I came to algae being closest to the plants Killer Whales eat.

Algae is it dangerous? Algae can be toxic when it is blue-green. Algae is also known as seaweed. Algae uses asexual and sexual to reproduce. Algae is poisonous when there is an algae bloom. We use algae for food, medicine, and combat global warming.

Plankton Plankton is dangerous and toxic to humans. Plankton is an organism that lives in a water column and can not swim against a current. Plankton reproduces asexual by splitting into two identical parts.

Facts about Killer Whales They are the largest of the Dolphins! One of the world’s most powerful predators of the seas. Life span in the wild is 50 t0 80 years. 23 to 32 feet long and weight up to 6 ton! Travels in pods. Killer Whales teeth are 4 inches long

Killer whales reproduce facts Mothers give birth every 3 to 10 years. Mother carries calf for 17 months. Mature around 15 years of age. only non human spices to go through menopause and still live decades after.
