Nucleus—Directs all the activities of the cell and contains the DNA
Nucleolus—Helps make ribosomes
Nuclear Membrane—Acts as a barrier between the nucleus and the cytoplasm; helps control the flow of materials in and out of the nucleus
Cell Membrane—Helps protect the cell from the outside and controls the flow of materials in and out of the cell
Cytoplasm—Region between the cell membrane and the nucleus

Mitochondria—Organelles that help produce energy for the cell
Vacuole—Large round sac in the cytoplasm that stores materials (water, food, etc.)
