14 THE TERM CHARACTER SET IS USED TO DESCRIBE A DIGITAL REPRESENTATION OF TEXT: ASCII IS THE MOST WIDELY USED CHARACTER SET THE ENTIRE COLLECTION OF CHARACTERS AVAILABLE IN A SYSTEM SUCH AS ASCII IS CALLED A CHARACTER SET.
