Prayer is an opportunity to express thanksgiving. “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Phil 4:6). Signing expresses thanksgiving. “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Eph 5:19-20). Our giving connects with thanksgiving. “The administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God” (2 Cor 9:12). “Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift” (2 Cor 9:15).
