2 Air Raid Shelters We built an Air Raid Shelter using a cardboard box. We covered it in camouflage and decorated more cardboard to look like wood and earth It was a very strong structure which would shelter people from bombs. There were many different designs of Air Raid shelters. Some can still be visited today.

4 Cirencester Air Raid Shelter Museum Air Raid Shelter Museum Sheep Street, Cirencester, Gloucestershire GL7 1RQ - England, UK The Cirencester Air Raid Shelter was built in 1940 to protect hospital staff and patients from German bombs. It was turned into a museum in 1989. It had room for over 80 people. It was used more than 200 times during World War 2.
