3 Four Qualities That Make Child Evangelism Fruitful: Childhood is a believing age — children must trust in others. Childhood is a sensitive age — conscience is never keener than in the first 12 years. Childhood is an affectionate age - children are creatures of love, respond to love. Childhood is a teachable age — children are alert, retentive, keen.

4 This is the Gospel Have you obeyed it? 1. I’m separated from God because of my sin. (Rom. 3:23) 2. God is perfect and He loves me. (I John 4:10) 3. If I believe God about Jesus, and trust Jesus to save me from my sin, He will when I ask Him. (Rom. 10:9,10,13) 4. I am born into God’s family. I become His child and belong to Him forever. (John 1:12).

14 1. Make your invitation specific. Each child must understand what you want him to do. 2. Be brief - if God is speaking they will respond without your belaboring the invitation. 3. The invitation should be voluntary. Never force a child to respond. 4. Make it clear as to what kind of response you want. 5. Make it in love, Christ’s love. It is Him to whom they are responding.

15 1. Talk with the child alone, if at all possible. 2. Always ask him his name and then use it as you introduce him to the Savior. 3. Ask him questions. 4. Present the plan of salvation simply. 5. Use the Bible.

16 6. Use only a few verses. 7. Take time. Do not be in a hurry. 8. If the child is ready, ask him to pray and receive Christ as Savior. 9. Give assurance of salvation. Use the Bible. 10. Briefly, give guidelines for growth.

17 1. Confusion of terminology. 2. Frightened into a decision. 3. May not understand sin or see a real need for salvation. 4. Does not understand that he needs to make his decision to receive Christ as Savior only once.

18 5. Goes for a reward. 6. Follows the leader - incautious invitations. 7. Wants to please the teacher. 8. Is tired of sitting. 9. Had no one to teach him or give him assurance.
