3. On 2nd Oct to 22nd Oct 2012 in the “Vazrazdane” gallery Sylvia Pavlova’s exhibition will be open. This is going to be the first exhibition by the curatorial project "XXI century. The Bible and the artists.” This is Krasi and Sim Aleksiev’s project and it aims to follow in the years 2012 – 2013 how the biblical texts and characters influence in the early twenty-first century the contemporary Bulgarian artists from different generations. Six artists of different ages, with different artistic styles and philosophy will take part in it. The first exhibitor is Silvia Pavlova, 32 years old from Sofia. The second exhibitor is Vasil Petrov, 51, from Pazardzhik. The third exhibitor is Ivan Chakarov 41 years old from Plovdiv. The fourth exhibitor is Dimitar Voinov - son, 42 years old from Sofia. The fifth exhibitor is Ivan Milushev, 53 years old, from Blagoevgrad. The sixth exhibitor is Academician Georgi Chapkanov, 69 years old from Sofia. These authors’ attitude to the Bible is known along the years and from time to time they use different themes of it. Now they are able more completely to present their personal metaphor, their point of view and opinion, their creative preferences and finally, to show what and how latently they can recreate on paper or canvas, scenes and characters from the greatest book of the humanity. The final exhibition of the project is in December 2013 – a general Christmas exhibition named "The Holy Mother" with works by 30 artists invited by the gallery.

6. The first exhibition is Silvia Pavlova’s one. It is named "The Biblical women" because the author draws preferably the women from the Bible. Sylvia has a great bias towards the female image and succeeds, very successfully for her age, to create a series of bright, straight- affecting visual images of women, with brilliantly justified psychologism and impressively individual original style. These creatures capture with their mobile energy that they emit and with their dramatic, often enigmatic charge, which suggests their complex spiritual and emotional substance of strong and hard-to- obey women. In these paintings the men are missing - they are sealed before or after the female on the canvas. They are often a cause or an effect but at the very high moment the woman is alone.
