6 Some Technological Institutes - 20136 I CES : About ICES The Institution of Certified Engineers (Steam & Internal Combustion Engine), Singapore was formed in 1973 to serve the Specialist Engineers in Steam or Internal Combustion Engines. Fellows and Members are qualified as Certified Engineers in accordance with the Factories (Certificate of Competency- Examinations) Regulations. They operate and maintain steam boilers and related mechanical equipment, such as pumps, gas compressors, generators, motors, steam turbines, air conditioning systems, heat exchangers and refrigeration equipment.
