2.  In this part you write about the fieldwork question and the geographic context it is in.  Focus on one or two hypotheses or aims.  Make sure these hypotheses and/or aims are concise and clear to the examiner.  State the syllabus section to which this investigation relates.

7.  Here you demonstrate your skills of data display.  The data display should be integrated in your written analysis; do NOT make a separate section.  Display graphs, diagrams, maps and/or annotated photographs.  Make sure you use a wide variety of data display techniques  Make sure your data display relates to your investigation.

10.  Make sure all of your graphs, maps, and other illustrations are properly referenced.  You will need to make a list of illustrations which is similar to a Table of Contents.  THERE IS NO WORD COUNT HERE SINCE THE DISPLAY OF DATA DOES NOT REALLY INCLUDE WORDS. You may use annotations or notes which do not count to the total amount of words.

11.  This is the most important part of your Geography internal assessment.  It determines whether you are able to explain and analyze the data you collected.  You must demonstrate that you understand the data you collected.  You must interpret the data in direct relation to your investigation.

12.  Are there any spatial patterns and trends in the data collected?  Am I making references to my fieldwork question or aim?  Am I explaining the geographic context of the data I collected?  Am I making references to the illustrative material I am displaying?  Have I explained any anomalies?

13. Approximately 1,350 words

14.  Summarize what you found out from your fieldwork investigation.  Answer the fieldwork question clearly and concisely.  Don’t worry if your findings go against your earlier projections or judgments.  It is acceptable to state that your hypothesis was not proven.  Write approximately 200 words.  This section is worth 2 marks.

15.  Here you should review the methods you used to collect your fieldwork data.  Ask yourself if there were any factors which influenced the validity of your data.  Was there personal bias?  Were there external factors which influenced your data collection?  Show the examiner how your data collection could have been improved and how it could be extended for future study.  Could you modify your fieldwork question?

16.  This section is worth a crucial 3 marks!

17.  The written work is within 2,500 words.  Your report is neatly presented and well- structured.  All the pages are numbered correctly  All your sources are correctly referenced.  All your illustrations and/or diagrams are numbered and fully integrated into the body of the fieldwork report.  THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE WORTH 4 MARKS.
