Monterey Bay Public Employees Trust Centers of Excellence 2014 Centers of Excellence are selected after careful review by Pacific Health Alliance of the following critical measures of quality: mortality, morbidity, length of stay, severity adjustments, qualifications of medical staff and other personnel, infection and redo rates, and overall commitment to excellence in the categories of customer satisfaction, medical expertise, and cost containment.

Monterey Bay Public Employees Trust Centers of Excellence 2014 As a result of this designation, in-patient and additional services for participants who utilize these hospitals will be paid according to your individual plan’s payment schedule of covered charges for medically necessary procedures. However, your out-of-pocket expenses will be substantially less than comparable services at other facilities. Also, a per-diem of $250.00 for family expenses is available during the days of in- patient confinement (must be pre-approved).
