2 Milestone 1 Goals Control Circuit: –Finish building and test Secondary Circuit: –Measure the inductance, capacitance, and impedance of the secondary coil –Attach the top load Power Supply: –Finish the power supply Transmission System –Build the system –Begin testing the system User Input System: –Get input from the keyboard –Begin implementing the key press algorithm. –Should be functioning, but not complete. We will test different algorithms on the coil once the systems are assembled.

14 Power Supply Milestone 1 goals. –Finish the power supply. Progress from Milestone 1 –Secondary supply finished and tested. –Primary supply wired and tested. –Addition of 10 Amp breaker. –Terminal block added as capacitor bleed.

15 Power Supply Secondary supply –Added 5 v regulator

16 Power Supply Primary supply –Full wave rectified 120Vac. –1500uF smoothing capacitor. –16 gauge wire.

17 Power Supply Breaker –10 Amp breaker added to limit current and when open, isolates the high voltage supply from control circuit.

18 Power Supply Terminal block –Used to bleed the large primary capacitor. –Currently contains a 1 kΩ resistor. –Drains capacitor in ~10 seconds.

19 Transmission System Milestone 1 goals –Build the system –Begin testing the system Progress Made –System completely built –Testing/troubleshooting in progress

20 Transmission System Originally Tested with Resistor in the right circuit to 190 kOhms With more testing, by increasing the Resistor to 470 kOhms, the DC Offset was reduced to 1V and P-P was increased to 2.6V

21 Transmission System Testing Need to design an Inverter Amplifier Circuit Need to determine how the 1V DC Offset will affect the Input to the control circuitry
