Study performed on overweight mice Methods Mice were fed a standard diet for 14 days Diet intake was not reduced Diet consisted of GCBE containing caffeine (10%), and chlorogenic acid (27%)

Results There was a significant weight loss of mice epididymal and perirenal fats No significance showing that caffeine relates to weight loss of body weight and visceral fat, however it does show significance in fat absorption rates Chlorogenic acid showed a weak correlation with body weight loss and visceral fat loss, but showed significance in suppressing hepatic TG levels
