Making the PS stand out Understanding of the role that goes beyond the superficial: Evidence of (accurate) research Interest in particular specialism Thoughts about future career Identifying own abilities that are appropriate and relevant List of experiences not helpful Transferable skills from other roles (jobs, clubs, volunteering)

6. The MMI Nursing applicants noticeably less prepared than applicants for medicine or dentistry Anticipate what is required; have examples prepared Knowledge not being tested – we’re looking for demonstration of values NHS Values – the 6 C’s
