LEARNING $100 The relatively permanent change in an organism’s behavior due to experience.

LEARNING - $200 The tendency for subjects to respond to stimuli similar to the conditioned stimuli.

Learning- $300 A mental representation of the layout of one’s enviornment.

Learning- $400 Learning that occurs but is not apparent until there is an incentive to demonstrate it.

Learning - $500 Learning the certain events occur together.

Classical- $100 This is the learned ability to distinguish between a conditioned stimulus and other stimuli that do not signal an unconditioned stimulus.

Classical - $200 The initial stage in classical conditioning.

Classical - $300 The reappearance of an extinguished conditioned response.

Classical - $400 Classical conditioning was first explored by him.

Classical - $500 The psychological perspective most closely associate with learning.

Operant - $100 Jacob cries uncontrollably every time his mother takes him down the candy aisle in the supermarket and refuses to let him buy anything. Eventually, Jacob’s mother gives in and lets him choose one candy item to buy if he stops crying. Jacob’s crying is by his mother

Operant $200 A stimulus that gains its reinforcing power through its association with a primary reinforcer.

Operant - $300 A procedure in which reinforcers guide behavior closer and closer toward a desired goal.

Operant- $400 Elizabeth gets very anxious before taking the AP Psych exam so she takes a Xanax before entering the gym. This illustrates what operant conditioning concept.

Operant - $500 Lars, a shoe salesman, is paid every two weeks. Eric is paid for every 5 pairs he sells. Evidently, Lars is paid on a schedule of reinforcement, and Eric on a. schedule of reinforcement.

People - $100 Thorndike’s principle that behaviors followed by favorable consequences become more likely.

People - $200 He conducted the Little Albert experiment.

People - $300 The KING of Operant Conditioning.

People - $400 This is Pavlov’s formula for classical conditioning (5 steps).

People - $500 These were the UCS, UCR, NS, CS, & CR in Pavlov’s experiment.

Reinforcement - $100 Bandura’s type of learning that takes place from watching the behavior of others.

Reinforcement $200 - $200. Every time you buy froyo from the Yogurtland, you get your froyo card stamped. Once you purchase ten items, you get your next item free. This follows what schedule of reinforcement.

Reinforcement - $300.

Reinforcement - $400 Pigeons display this when they peck a key as an anticipated time or reward draws nearer, producing a choppy stop- start pattern.

Reinforcement- $500 To provide rewards after an unpredictable amount of responses.

LEARNING - $100 What is learning? $

Learning $200 What is generalization? $

LEARNING - $300 What is a cognitive map? $

Learning- $400 What is latent learning? $

Learning- $500 What is Associative Learning? $

Classical - $100 What is discrimination? $

Classical- $200 What is acquisition? $

Classical - $300 What is spontaneous recovery? $

Classical- $400 Who is Ivan Pavlov? $

Classical- $500 What is Behaviorism? $

Operant - $100 What is positively reinforced? $

Operant - $200 What is a conditioned/secondary reinforcer? $

Operant - $300 What is shaping? $

Operant- $400 What is negative reinforcement? $

Operant - $500 What is fixed interval, fixed ratio? $

People - $100 What is the law of effect? $

People $200 Who is John B. Watson? $

People - $300 Who is B.F. Skinner? $

People - $400 What is Unconditioned Stimulus  Unconditioned Response Neutral Stimulus Conditioned Stimulus  Conditioned Response ? $

People - $500 What are UCS-foodUCR-salivationNS-bellCS-bellCR-salivation? $

Reinforcement $100 What is observational learning? $

Reinforcement- $200 What is fixed ratio? $

Reinforcement - $300 What is positively reinforced? $

Reinforcement - $400 What are fixed-interval schedules? $

JEOPARDY! Slide Show Setup The font for the question & answer slides is “Enchanted;” a copy of this font in located in the “REAL Jeopardy Template” folder or included in the “jeopardy_pc.zip” file. (This font will need to be installed in the C:/WINDOWS/FONTS folder of the computer running the show.) In order to keep all of the sounds and fonts together, copy the entire “REAL Jeopardy Template” folder or “jeopardy_pc.zip” file. To change the categories: –1. Go to the “Edit”menu and choose “Replace…” –2. In the Find box, type CATEGORY X (X being 1 through 5) (all caps). –3. In the Replace box, type the category in all caps (for example, PRESIDENTS). –4. Click Replace All… To change the dollar values (for example to create Double Jeopardy): –1. Go to the “Edit” menu and choose “Replace…” –2. In the Find box, type $X (the dollar value you want to change). –3. In the Replace box, type the new dollar value (with $). –4. Click Replace All...

JEOPARDY! Slide Show Setup continued To set up the Daily Double: –1. Choose which dollar value(s) to set as Daily Double (normally, Jeopardy has one Daily Double, and Double Jeopardy has two). –2. Go to the Game Board slide (Slide 8), right click once on the dollar value for the appropriate question, choose Hyperlink, and choose Edit Hyperlink. –3. In the Edit Hyperlink window, go to “Named location in file” and click “Browse…” –4. In the Hyperlink to Slide window, scroll down to the appropriate slide; Slides 64 and 65 are regular Daily Doubles, Slide 66 is an Audio Daily Double, Slide 67 is a Video Daily Double. Click “OK.” –5. Go to the Daily Double slide just linked to, and right click once on the answer arrow at the bottom right, choose Hyperlink, and choose Edit Hyperlink. –6. In the Action Settings window, make sure the Hyperlink button (to the left of “Hyperlink”) is selected, and in the select box underneath choose “Slide…” –7. In the Hyperlink to Slide window, scroll down to the appropriate question slide (the original slide number of the question). NOTE: Using the Audio and Video Daily Doubles requires adding audio or video/picture clips to the question slides. If you are not familiar with doing this in PowerPoint, do not use those Daily Doubles.

Running the JEOPARDY! Slide Show On the game board with the categories on top (Slide 8), click on the desired dollar value. (The first game board is used only to blink in the dollar values like the show.) The question slide will pop up; the slides are timed with an eight-second timer.
