5 What would a Usual day of a nurse consist of? Managing up to five patients Attending mandatory education/meetings Pharmacy, Doctors, Therapists Medications Juggling tests/treatments/ activity/patient needs Close monitoring of some, encouraging independence in others

Not at a desk all day Week off/week on Meeting different people everyday Many opportunities in different areas Multi tasking, critical thinking New technology Always learning Never the same day twice Hate? 9 What should I start doing now to become a nurse? Focus on science related classes Need GPA of 3.6 or higher Psychology classes helpful Volunteer at a nursing home, hospital Nurse internships available Become a CNA, Nurses aid, or equivalent
