Trip Rationale Relevance – As a Christian school committed to teaching from a Christian perspective, we are thrilled to be proposing to take students to see Italy, the historical setting of the birth of the church in the West, from the catacombs and the Coliseum in Rome, to the great spiritual revival of the Middle Ages in Assisi, to the birthplace of the Renaissance in Florence and the wealth of artistic expression there and in Rome. This tour will focus on the history of our faith as expressed through art. We intend for the trip to be more of a spiritual pilgrimage rather than a typical site seeing tour.
