4 Arrival of "20 and Odd" Blacks in late August of 1619 aboard a Dutch man of war. These blacks were sold/traded into servitude for supplies. Although American slavery was not a known institution at the time, this group of Africans was the first to go on record to be sold as involuntary laborers. 6  In 1793, The invention of the cotton gin solidified the central importance of slavery of the South's economy.  a southern crop whose production was limited by the difficulty of removing the seeds from fibers by hand  Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin to remove the seeds from the raw cotton.

8  The 13 th Amendment, adopted late in 1865 officially abolished slavery  The 14 th and 15 th Amendment, Slaves received the right to vote  They counted the slave as 3/5  30 million slave after slavery was officially illegal

10  By 1689 they had transported 90,000 slaves from Africa to Britain, North America and the Caribbean.  Not everyone had the chance to tell about experience to the world. One that did say something was someone named Olaudah Equiano.

I been living in Georgia for about 5 years now. My mom was born from New York too and my dad was born in Tennessee. I can sing songs, write songs and, also draw those are my most dedicate talents I like to do the most.
