12 Install WOAS_Cab.CAB This file is not part of the Web FOCUS installation. I got it from our IBI Support guys. When you obtain it, copy the file in a folder on your SharePoint Server Copy SharePoint Command Line tool STSADM.exe from the “12 Hive” to the same folder you put the “cab” file.
13 12 Hive? Most SharePoint files are here = Hive Version = 12 Get It? C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN
16 Install WOAS_Cab.CAB cont. Open Command Prompt and run the following to install it. (From the directory you copied your files) Stsadm –o addwppack –filename WOAS_Cab.CAB –force –globalinstall You should see: Operation completed successfully.
23 Bonus Tip! By Default Web Parts run with the credentials the user uses to login to SharePoint. –http://servername/ibi_apps/components/woas/govern or/WOAS_view.jsp?SID=_LogonUser_&gn=1&view=r eport –You may change “_LogonUser_” for the user id you wish to use. For example: –http://servername/ibi_apps/components/woas/govern or/WOAS_view.jsp?SID=Guests&gn=1&view=report
24 Add Web Parts to SharePoint Site Go to your SharePoint Top Level Site and add the Web FOCUS web parts to the Web Part Gallery. Site Actions Site Settings Under “Galleries” click on “Web Parts”.
35 Add Web Parts to desired site/page Your SharePoint site is now ready to display Web FOCUS content. To add Web Parts to a page: Site Actions Edit Page Then Click on the page Region you want to put your Web Part The Add Web Parts window will pop-up. Scroll down to the “Web FOCUS” section and select the Web Part.
49 Report Web Part The Domain list Web Part is very practical to create new reports or graphs and to edit existing reports. But, what if you want to embed a report or graph to your page? This is very useful if you want to have your most important report always present right next to where your team’s documents, calendar and schedules are. Very useful if used to track a performance indicator that varies during the day On sites where customer can go to View business information only.
50 Report Web Part To add a Report Web Part: Site Actions Edit Page Then Click on the page Region you want to put your Web Part The Add Web Parts windows will pop-up. Scroll down to the “Web FOCUS” section and select the Web FOCUS Report Web Part.
52 Report List Option If you select “List” you can choose multiple reports that will display as items and can be executed from there.
53 Launch Option Every time someone opens your web site the report will launch automatically with no user interaction. If the page is “Reloaded” the report/graph will display the most up-to-date information. Above the Report there is a “Refresh” link that will update the report as well.
