3. What is the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program? A program created by the IRS to offer free tax preparation assistance for taxpayers who qualify. A program that volunteers to give you money. A program where you volunteer to give your income away. A program that teaches you how to file your own taxes.
