3 Summary The topic I chose was telephones. Alexander Graham Bell was the inventor of the telephone. Telephones were invented in the 1870s. They are devices that could transmit speech through electricity. The people communicate has changed as time progressed; for instance, it started with writing letters and then to telegraphs and then to telephones.

When people wrote letters it use to take a long time for the letter to get to where its going. So they had to come p with ways that wouldn’t take as long.
