Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

How do we pray? Pray that God’s word will continue to penetrate the hearts of fellow believers in the persecuted regions of the world. Pray that we will allow God’s word to transform us by the reading of it and living it out.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16

How do we pray? Pray that God will send hope and encouragement to those attempting to worship together in persecuted regions of the world. Ask God to quicken our hearts for the privilege of open worship and take advantage of it for the common good of believers.

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12

How do we pray? Pray that those who are persecuted will find encouragement and strength from other believers through community. Confess our sin of self reliance and return to a dependency upon God and live in both harmony and community with those around us.

Pray that those who are persecuted will find encouragement and strength from other believers through community. Confess our sin of self reliance and return to a dependency upon God and live in both harmony and community with those around us. 2 Corinthians 12:9

How do we pray? Remember to pray for followers of Jesus in other countries who are imprisoned or attacked because of their faith in Christ. Pray that we too will understand God’s call and power to bring His purpose about through our living and submit to it.

One With Them in God’s Word Pray that God’s word will continue to penetrate the hearts of fellow believers in the persecuted regions of the world. Pray that we will allow God’s word to transform us by the reading of it and living it out.

One With Them in Worship Pray that God will send hope and encouragement to those attempting to worship together in persecuted regions of the world. Ask God to quicken our hearts for the privilege of open worship and take advantage of it for the common good of believers.

One With Them in Community Pray that those who are persecuted will find encouragement and strength from other believers through community. Confess our sin of self reliance and return to a dependency upon God and live in both harmony and community with those around us.

One With Them in Power Remember to pray for followers of Jesus in other countries who are imprisoned or attacked because of their faith in Christ. Pray that we too will understand God’s call and power to bring His purpose about through our living and submit to it.

May we continue to remember through prayer our brothers and sisters who share our faith but not our freedom.
